## How booking works

1. Choose check-in and check-out dates on the availability calendar on the homepage (https://lilla-alva.com/en#calendar). The minimum stay is 3 nights. Each date shows its nightly price; rates vary by season and current rates always appear on the calendar. All prices include 12% Swedish VAT.
2. Fill in the request form: name, email, phone, number of guests (maximum 6), and optional add-ons (bed linens and towels, Hot Tub Service €49 per stay, and up to 3 dogs for a flat fee per stay). A mandatory cleaning fee applies; the form shows a live cost summary with current fee amounts and the estimated total.
3. Submitting sends a booking request (status: pending). The guest receives a "request received" email and the owner responds within 24 hours to confirm or decline. After confirmation the full amount is due within 5 calendar days (within 24 hours when check-in is 7 to 14 days away, immediately when less than 7 days away); dates are held provisionally until then and the booking is final once full payment has arrived.
4. The confirmation email contains payment instructions: a Revolut payment link for guests with a Revolut account, or a bank transfer (IBAN) otherwise. Bookings are direct: no platform service fees.

Note: check-out day is treated as end-exclusive, so a new stay may begin on another booking's check-out day.

- [GET https://lilla-alva.com/api/availability](https://lilla-alva.com/api/availability): public JSON endpoint returning blocked (unavailable) date ranges, with no personal data. Response shape: `{"events":[{"startDate":"YYYY-MM-DD","endDate":"YYYY-MM-DD"}]}`. Dates are all-day; endDate is exclusive (the check-out day itself is available for a new check-in). Only ranges from today onward are returned; when nothing is blocked the response is `{"events":[]}`. A date is available if it falls within no returned range.
